I’m Amy Chaplin, a vegetarian chef, teacher and author of two James-Beard Award-winning cookbooks. My work is inspired by nature and the healing benefits of whole food ingredients. Originally from Australia, I now live in Upstate New York with my family of four.

I spend most of my time in the kitchen cooking with and for my two sons, Ezra (5 years) and Theo (1 year). They have very different tastes, which change constantly, and even with decades of kitchen experience I am challenged daily by what to cook. Through this newsletter I will share what I’m currently cooking and loving and (short) kitchen stories about trying to eat well with children.
